Did you know that Singer and Schmetz needles are made using different processes?
The Singer needles are stamped out by a stamping machine. This means that they have a slight curve to them, yet it does not interfere with the sewing.
Schmetz needles are individually machined, each turned on a lathe. While I do sell Schmetz, I have sewn with both brands. I find them equally functional. However, I prefer Schmetz simply because of the elegance and precision of the manufacturing process. Yes, ideas can be pleasing.
